Adams Highlanders sit atop the city throne by defeating cross town rival Rochester 41 - 35.

The Highlanders set the tone for the game in the first quarter with stifling defense and efficient offense. Adams spread the floor in their man to man motion offense and used good movement away from the ball to get open. The ball was in triple threat which made it difficult for Rochester to defend the ball and the cutter.  The second and third quarters were dominated by the defense on both ends of the court. The aggressive play did give Rochester opportunities at the charity stripe where they missed there first seven chances and struggled at the free throw line all night.
Your typical cross town rival game produced a good crowd that was loud and into the action. The athletes competed hard against each other and the game was spirited. To the credit of both teams, good sportsmanship prevailed throughout the game.  Adams showed good toughness and determination to turn back Rochester each time they made a run to close the lead.  Clutch free throw shooting in the waning seconds by Nick Morrin and Justin Dawson along with an overall good team effort sealed the game for the Highlanders.
